My eldest daughter is 2 and a half, and the other day she saw me looking at a snack mat tutorial by nanacompany and said; "you make it for me mummy?" So, I did!
I haven't bought anything for applique yet, so just interfaced the milk circle of Liberty fabric (as I forgot to interface the Tilda fabric before cutting out the shape of the plate - oops!).
I traced the words onto tissue paper, pinned it to the mat and embroidered through the tissue paper.
Here's the finished mat (on her play kitchen!)
She has been enjoying drinking cold milk from a big girls cup since she's had the mat, but we have to be careful of her little sister who's into everything at the moment!
